Negative experience: Neppers, schleppers, fraudsters, and scammers!!! We were sold a beach umbrella and lounge chairs at the end stage for 60€ (!!!). I would never have done this if they hadn't been explicitly offered for 16€ (!). Bam, card swiped, display not shown, money gone. The beach drops steeply into the sea and while it's not crowded, dealing with highwaymen takes time and nerves.

Fantastic experience: Well-located beach and not too crowded. It is next to a yacht club where you can windsurf, row, or paddle surf.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach that stretches for several kilometers and remains very clean even today despite the crowds. Easy to access (bike path running along), it is also well equipped with sports facilities (volleyball, soccer, weightlifting). In short, an ideal place to relax for a few hours and recharge before continuing the visit of Barcelona!
Fantastic experience: One of my favorite beaches in Barcelona. The access is super easy, it is very well located and the sea is relatively clean. It gets reasonably crowded in the summer, but nothing too extreme. The coolest thing about this beach is the variety of options for sports activities. I highly recommend playing a nice game of volleyball in the late afternoon!

Positive experience: Bogatell, due to its proximity to the central area, is also crowded, with many street vendors, making it less peaceful. Its promenade makes it ideal for exercising.

Fantastic experience: The water is salty and the sand in your butt makes you itch!
Positive experience: Sandy beach next to Poblenou. Wide space to lay, play volleyball and have a bath. The grain size is between middle and fine. It can get really busy on sunny days, if you are looking for a peaceful bathing, better to go further from Barcelona center. Be extremely aware of the pickpockets and don't let ever your belongings unattended.
Negative experience: Very, very dirty beach. On the sand, you can find everything from glass and syringes to sanitary pads. In the summer, it is totally overcrowded. People smoke marijuana and get drunk with complete freedom and impunity. Beware of pickpockets. They roam freely there!! The truth is that considering it is a beach in a city as degraded as Barcelona, we cannot expect better beaches... I recommend taking the train or car and going to other beaches like Castelldefels or Masnou. NOT advisable for going with children.
Positive experience: Beach with the charm of Barceloneta, the only bad thing is too many people selling massages, mojitos, etc.. It's a bit annoying. And quite a lot of police watching, but they come out from under the sand.
Fantastic experience: I really like the beach for walking in the afternoons and seeing the sea when the day is sunny. It is always clean and pleasant to walk on the sand. What I don't like too much is that on weekends there are too many people on the beach, which makes it a bit uncomfortable to stroll along it.

Fantastic experience: This is a very calm, clean, well secured place for swimming. My visit was April 18th, tourist count not high. Water was fresh not cold. Good restaurants on (expected) high price, but delicous.
Fantastic experience: This beach is one of the most iconic in Barcelona. It's a well-kept beach, with restaurants, volleyball places, toilets, police, etc. It also has incredible views of Barcelona, with the two towers, the Vela hotel and the Montjuic mountain. It is well worth a walk along the breakwater.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach. Very crowded on weekends. No seats in the restaurant without a reservation.

Fantastic experience: We were at the Mercè festivities at the Catarres concert. It is a... big, clean beach that is well maintained. Lifeguard etc etc... It is quite a busy place for both tourists and locals, and there are plenty of places around to eat and have a drink. They also host concerts and parties etc....

Positive experience: Es una playa para ir con amigos, no esperes silencio y tranquilidad en verano. Es el centro de convenciones de los altavoces bluetooth. Al estar al lado de una riera desagüe el agua siempre tendrá un nivel de contaminación, como socorrista, recomiendo no tocar el agua los 2 o 3 días posteriores a lluvias. En invierno con sol, es el lugar ideal para un buen picnic.

Fantastic experience: I took a walk along Bogatell Beach, and it was absolutely beautiful. There was a light fog over the sea, which made everything feel calm and a bit surreal. The lights from the city reflecting on the water gave the whole place a dreamy atmosphere. Hardly anyone was around, just the sound of the waves and the soft mist in the air. Such a peaceful and magical experience.

Fantastic experience: Fue una de las playas que más me gustó de esta zona! Muy limpia. Excelente área de para hacer actividades y divertirse con amigos o en familia. Cuenta con espacios para jugar al voleibol. Hay duchas y chiringuitos para disfrutar de unas bebidas frescas. Hay señalización de playa libre de humo. Se respira tranquilidad, al menos por la mañana temprano que es cuando fui. Pero acercándose el mediodía, si bien había bastante más gente, aún así se veía tranquilo. Muy recomendable!!!
Fantastic experience: Sauberer und schöner Sandstrand mitten in der Stadt. Das Wasser war klar und sauber. Hätte ich nicht erwartet! Man kann Liegen und Schirme anmieten. Es gibt Diverse Toiletten und Duschen. Auch Restaurants und Bars sind anzufinden.

Positive experience: The beach is one of the best in the city. There is a non-smoking area, making it comfortable for families with children. There are still people who smoke cigarettes or weed, so don’t hesitate to address them; they are in the wrong! There are many Russian-speaking people relaxing here, both with and without children. There is a designated area for beach volleyball, and people bring their own nets to play. The beach bars have decent offerings. Prices, like in other beach bars, are certainly inflated. There are several restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. My favorite is Can Fisher. However, the food quality in summer is significantly lower than in winter due to the abundance of tourists. The beach is cleaned, but you still find trash; people are careless. The outdoor showers have not worked this year or last. The restrooms in the beach bars are inconvenient, they’re small, but they try to clean them as best as they can. They always have toilet paper, and if you’re lucky, there will be soap. There are many people in summer, like everywhere, but if you arrive early in the morning, you can enjoy the clean water with fewer people around. You can rent umbrellas, sun loungers, and tables, but the prices are outrageous. You can get there from the center by taking bus number 6.

Fantastic experience: It's beautiful, better to enjoy in spring, the water is cold but very nice. In summer, it attracts a lot of people obviously and it can be a bit overwhelming.

An advantage might be the width of the beach, the coolness from the sea breeze, and the lack of exploitation by private interests with umbrellas and sunbeds!!! Positive experience: Great beach, in one of the best locations in Barcelona. During peak season, it gets quite crowded, so it's better to go early. Also ideal for playing volleyball/footvolley/etc. as it has sports areas.
Negative experience: The beach is normal... the water a bit murky... the area is filled with thieves who, when you go in your vehicle, break your glass and ruin your vacation, and in some cases, ruin your life. No one says it... it is unfortunately a shame that no one warns about it.

The only bad thing is that I went by subway and the Bogatell subway stop is very, very far away, I had to walk 20 minutes to get to the beach.
