Positive experience: Good beach. Close parking, so you don't have to walk far to access it. The only downside is that it doesn't cover much. It's important to arrive early.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach with fine and clear sand in the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park. It is extensive, so finding a spot during peak seasons shouldn’t be a problem. There is a small parking area just a few meters from the beach. The surrounding area is hilly and has volcanic activity, which adds an extra charm, as you can find fossils.
Fantastic experience: Da vedere. La spiaggia forse migliore della zona. Diverse piccole baie garantiscono acque tranquille e colorate. Lo spettacolo delle dune fossili è veramente eccezionale. Fondali bassi e sabbiosi o a grossi ciotoli. Spiaggia chiusa ai cani. Frequentata anche da naturisti, come in tutta la zona.

Positive experience: Playa con arena fina, pero nada pegajosa. Perfecta para quedarte todo el día. Si llegas temprano aparcaras a escasos metros de la playa, si llegas más tarde, te tocara andar un rato (Recomiendo llegar antes de las 10 de la mañana). En las cercanías hay varias visitas obligadas que debes hacer. El agua no es nada profunda, y con varios roales de posidonias.
Fantastic experience: Espectacular playa, asegurate de verificar el clima antes de ir ya que si pillas un dia con poco o sin viento es un éxito, playa virgen de arena fina y super llana para ir con niños, puedes caninar por las rocas y encuentras otras calas increíbles. Es un imperdible si visitas el cabo de gata.

Negative experience: People are really stupid and park their vehicles on both sides of the road, going from two lanes (one in each direction) to just one lane. The fights to get through and the attacks are TERRIBLE. It's not worth going because of the UNCIVILIZED PEOPLE.

Fantastic experience: I love this beach and more than the big beach, the nearby coves. The views from the castle and the cliffs are amazing, whether the sea is calm or rough, it is a spectacle. If you are looking for a beach bar and shade, this is not your place!!
Fantastic experience: Incredible, you have to go by car as it is a bit far, there is plenty of parking, lonely beach, there are no beach bars as it is a reserve, spectacular views, sandy beach, everything is very beautiful.

There are some seaweeds but the worst, without a doubt, are the wasps. We went with children and had to leave; we couldn't eat. There is no beach bar or showers as it is natural.

Fantastic experience: Wild beach. There's no flag or lifeguard. Sand both in and out of the water. It's recommended to arrive early to find parking; otherwise, you can leave the car on the side of the road, but you have to walk between 8-15 minutes. This summer (August 2023) there's a duck that likes to sit on the towels and in the shade.

C est une plage prisée et malheureusement elle est petite. Sinon le plus. Elle est transparente on voit nos . Et très peu agitée pour la sécurité des enfants. Ne cherchez pas de quoi vous restaurer. Rien n est prévu pour cela. Pas de douche ni de rince pieds ni de WC

No se si hemos tenido mala suerte por todos los comentarios positivos que tiene, pero nosotras muy decepcionada con esta playa. Lo único bueno es que había dos personas controlando la distancia de seguridad y la colocación de gente en la playa y estaban súper atentos.
Fantastic experience: Playa virgen, con algas? Pues claro, no es una piscina. Es preciosa y bastante ancha. Fuimos después del almuerzo, sobre las 17.30, y no tuvimos problemas de aparcamiento, la gente de la mañana ya empieza a irse. No hay duchas ni papeleras, a tener en cuenta esto último para no dejar nada allí. La gente parece muy concienciada y guardan distancia de seguridad.

Fantastic experience: Great beach. You have to go a little along a path but it's manageable. The parking is a bit chaotic, but once you park, let the next one squeeze in... The beach is very nice, fine sand. It was a little dirty with seaweed but that's normal for a beach, what’s not normal is for it to be dirty from throwing a watermelon, for example, that depends on us. The water was great in temperature. We did paddleboarding and snorkeling, and honestly, we really liked the place. I will return.

Fantastic experience: It's a vast beach with different areas and types of beach. With rocks, gravel, natural pools... There are areas for snorkeling that are very accessible.
Fantastic experience: I love this beach because in addition to swimming and snorkeling, you can take a walking route passing through different parts of the breakwaters and the castle, and you can jump from the highest point or reach another more secluded cove. Fantastic experience: The playazo of Rodalquilar is a large beach with fine sand. It is ideal for visiting with children. Be careful, there are rocks in the water, but the accessibility is much better than in the nearby coves. For the more adventurous, walking towards the battery of San Ramón, there is a hole in the rock where you can jump in... and dive into the sea through a submerged 'secret passage'. There are also different opportunities to jump into the sea from the rocky wall, for both kids and not-so-kids. Both activities can be done between the playazo and the cove immediately to the north, accessed on foot with water shoes. We also enjoyed walking by the castle, on top of the existing fossil dune. And of course, snorkeling and seeing little fish... It was a delight.

Positive experience: I believe that going to the beach and having a good time is often a matter of attitude, and although I enjoyed the time I spent here, I think this beach falls far behind Playa de los Muertos. The day I visited the beach of Rodalquilar, the weather was not good and the sea had many rocks, the water was dark. What I did enjoy is that on one side of the beach there is a small area where the waves don't break, and it's perfect if you want to sit with the warm water reaching your waist and admire the ocean, meditate, or relax. There is parking a few meters from the shore.

Positive experience: It's not what it used to be. I returned to the big beach after 10 years and found it a bit disappointing. Not because of the beach itself, but because of how extremely crowded everything has become. We traveled 800 km to find a few quiet beaches, because that's how I remembered them, and we didn't achieve that either. What a shame. The cove next door had cleaner water than the big beach and we were able to see many fish, and the pool is still very nice.
Positive experience: To put it mildly, the beach from the center to the right has a lot of seaweed and there are rocks. The left side has fine sand and very clear water. On the left rock, there is an underwater cave where people can swim; you have to jump in and come out by diving. On the other side of the rock, there is a tiny cove.
Positive experience: It's average, it's a beach away from buildings and a very cool environment (pure Almeria). The parking is next to the beach but it was full and we had to park about 5 minutes walking, which for this time of year is not bad. I don't know if it's free or not, but we were told it was full by some people there who I think were controlling the parking as they were wearing green vests for that purpose. The bad thing is that there are no showers or any kind of services. In my opinion, there are much nicer beaches in Almeria. The water is not as good as in other places. Arriving at the beach on the left there is a small pool that is not bad, the water there is better, we even saw a stingray. I also saw a jellyfish in the central part. In short, that's my opinion and since a picture is worth a thousand words, I'm adding photos.

Fantastic experience: Undoubtedly, another wonderful beach in Almería is this one at Playazo. It can be accessed from the AL-4200 road, via a marked detour, close to the village of Rodalquilar. The path is paved with some dirt sections. You pass by the Torre de Los Alumbres and reach the dirt parking area. The views are spectacular. You can walk up to the remnants of the Batería de San Ramón.

Fantastic experience: The beach is very spacious but the parking is not well organized. With vehicles under 2.30 m in height, you can enter and exit at any hour, while for taller vehicles, there is a night parking ban, with very high fines. In January, the ban was between 6 PM and 9 AM. We were in a camper from the morning until 6 PM and then moved to another location for the night.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful place, and the people here are very nice. But camping is not allowed in this place, you can climb and enjoy nature, a very special place.
Negative experience: The attitude of the Níjar town hall regarding the access of motorhomes to the beach is pathetic. They set a height limit of 2.30 meters so we can't get in, but cars and vans enter happily. Apparently, the height of our vehicles damages the environment more. Either we all get in or none of us do. Ridiculous.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful and quiet beach. Wild and without services as it's in the nature park. It has lovely walks in the surroundings and it's interesting to see the fort, of a defensive nature, which is at one end. The beach has limited parking space and there are usually delays on notable dates. Vehicles cannot stay overnight as they get fined, although generally they give prior warning to leave the area. It's important to take the trash away because there are only bins at the beginning of the access path to the beach.

Fantastic experience: A dreamlike bay with a great beach. The parking lot was well visited today with over 30 campervans. You can undertake extensive exploration tours on foot. A great little piece of earth. We will come back. It's a pity that some campers, without consideration for walkers, go 5 meters next to the path into the bushes and drop their pants to do their business. These people ruin everything and understandably, there are more and more signs prohibiting this.
