Fantastic experience: Relaxing and 'safe' swimming while watching the waves break - a very beautiful setting. There is plenty of parking available (we were there at the end of August) and entry is free. I couldn't spend hours there, but the stop for a quick dip in the water is definitely worth it. We have visited many natural pools in the Canaries (Tenerife,...) but this one was one of our favorites ☺️.
Positive experience: Sea water pool where you can swim even with a red flag... I don't need that. On sunny Sundays, it's well attended. 3 stars because of the surroundings... definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful natural pools to bathe in on the coast. The area was well laid out with pathways and rope barriers. Entry was free. Their was toilets( a cleaning lady in attendance and they were spotless) with changing cubicles. The showers were cold outdoor ones. Their was some benches under parasols to relax. Dogs not allowed in the area. Plenty of parking nearby and a cafe/restaurant was closed. The water was crystal clear and not too chilly. Their were 5 different types of colourful fish swimming around me. I did not want to risk dropping my phone to take photos. One pool was like a normal pool not rocky. We had a lovely afternoon and it would be a busy when the weather is hot. Walk along the promenade above and their is beautiful view of the coast and some parrots flying around

Fantastic experience: Estupendas. Puedes bañarte como en un piscina, pero con cierto oleaje y agua salada. Y en entorno de rocas volcánicas!!. Eso sí, tus enseres tienes que dejarlas alejadas del agua y confiando no les pase nada, je,je,je.

Positive experience: The pools themselves are very clean and quite spacious, but remember to bring aqua shoes or sandals as some of the pools have sharp rocky floors.
Negative experience: Very beautiful, of course, but I was disappointed. The water is oily, the seabed is muddy, and everything seems a bit neglected. The people who frequent this place are quite unfriendly as well. Many times better than el Charco Azul.

Fantastic experience: Ein Tag am Meer. Wo kann man ihn schöner erleben als hier. Total anders als am weißen Sandstrand aber mindestens genauso erholsam. Schroffe Felslandschaft. Sehr schön angelegte Sitzplätze. Teilweise unter Sonnenschirmen. Picknick mitnehmen. zwischendurch einen Kaffee im Restaurant Gaviota bei sagenhafter Aussicht genießen. Am Wochenende ziemlich voll.

Fantastic experience: 3 swimming pools, the water is clean, there is a beach bar and some parking.
Positive experience: Beautiful natural baths that you reach after a nice ride. It's a pity that even at the end of June the restaurant at the baths is closed.
Fantastic experience: Without taking away from Charco Azul, but Piscinas de la Fajana beats it by a landslide imho. There is plenty of room, safe steps and even handrails for a secure way down into the pools. When I visited and swam/bathed there, only a few other people were present. The best thing and which makes them perfect for a longer stay is, one can get into the shade by hiding underneath the overhanging cliffs/coves. That is especially important if one is fair skinned or has not developed a tan yet. I'll definitely return. Perfect place! It also has restrooms and a changing hut. Parking spaces galore and a separate parking lot for RVs. From the looks of it because it was frequented more than the actual pools the restaurant 'La Gaviota' seems like a solid recommendation.

Fantastic experience: How many wonderful places La Palma has. The pools of La Fajana, without a doubt, is another one of them... what a luck to be able to swim in the sea water, but safely, without the risk of being slammed against the rocks by the waves! Moreover, you can easily see the fish that sneak into the pools...
Positive experience: A very original idea to build a dam high enough to form natural pools by the sea, connected by several holes in their walls. Maintaining a very pleasant water temperature and with different pools for adults and children. On days with high waves, the waves can jump over the wall of the main pool, but they are monitored at all times by a lifeguard in case of any incident, just like a regular beach would be. A highly recommended visit during your stay on the island.
Fantastic experience: Several natural pools with the possibility of going out to the sea at low tide, it has a lifeguard, restrooms, and a small bar next to it. There is no possibility to set up an umbrella, but there are shaded areas. Spectacular.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant place to visit when you are in La Palma. A complete gem. We were able to swim in 3 of the pools here and it was great to see all the fish and a pretty decent sized octopus! Highly recommend that you take a day out to visit. We hired a car and did it that way which meant we were able to visit outside of any of the coach tours. This meant it was basically empty and we shared the pools with about 5 people! Decent little 'shack' there too selling drinks and snacks.. didn't use the changing rooms as there was a hidden area to get changed in by the pools (probably only of use to change when not busy) Highly recommend if you want to snorkel in a safe environment.

Fantastic experience: Die Piscinas de La Fajana sind sehr schöne Meerwasserbecken, wo für jedermanns Schwimm- und Badespaß gesorgt wird. Es gibt mehrere Becken, die unterschiedlich Tief sind, so dass auch Nichtschimmer ins Meerwasser können. Am Rand des größten Beckens kommt man über zwei Leitern in das "echte" Meer. Hier lässt es sich gut schnorcheln und wenn das Meer zu wild wird, kann man wieder ins großer Becken zurück, wo ebenfalls Fische schwimmen. Neben dem Becken gibt es ausreichende Liege- und Sitzgelegenheiten, zum Teil sonnengeschützt in der Felswand. Die Meerwasserbecken werden von Rettungsschwimmern beaufsichtigt und verfügen über sanitäre Anlagen, Umkleidekabinen, sonnenschirmgeschützte Picknickbänke und einen kleinen Kiosk, wo es Getränke, kleine Snacks und Eos gibt.

Fantastic experience: Wunderbar gelegene Meerwasserpools mit guter Ausstattung (Umkleidekabinen, WCs, Duschen), netter Badeaufsicht und tollen Blicken. Man kann auf den schwarzen Felsen Krebse beobachten und im Wasser diverse Fische. Der Eintritt und das Parken sind gratis!
Fantastic experience: Un sitio estupendo para darse un baño. Existe una piscina con menor fondo, ideal para los niños y niñas más pequeños. A partir los 4 años hacen pie sin problema. En la piscina mayor disfrutarás observando los peces, así que no te olvides de las gafas de buceo.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful place in the north of the island, in the municipality of Barlovento. Sea water pools in an impressive landscape.
Fantastic experience: Perfect for a good swim, it has three pools where you can swim, either touching the bottom or not, as the large one is over 1.20 meters deep and you can't stand. Good area to take a break, it has spacious changing rooms and a terrace area with tables and umbrellas.
Fantastic experience: The place is very beautiful. It's worth visiting for its pools. Overall, for everything.
Negative experience: Drove for 90 minutes to find a closed swimming area. No explanation as to why. Little waves. The swimming area is protected anyway. It's just very, very frustrating when you check in advance and see that it's open around the clock - and then you find it closed with a red and white tape.

Positive experience: I love that the pools are filled with seawater that gets refreshed with the waves. There are showers and a building with bathrooms and changing rooms. I would just like more areas and/or options to be able to stay in the shade (for example, more umbrellas).

Fantastic experience: More sheltered than Charco de Azul when the swell is strong coming from the east. We had a great time with the kids despite the gray sky. Don't hesitate to go see the ocean at the point when there are waves.

Fantastic experience: I have rarely seen such a perfectly designed place to enjoy a wonderful day by the sea. The various depths of the integrated natural sea pools are suitable for everyone, and there is also enough space for sunbathing. There are toilet facilities, as well as showers and changing rooms. A good restaurant is also on site. In the front row, you can even swim directly in the ocean when the red flag is not visible. I congratulate the community on this free leisure offer. Everything is very well maintained and clean.

Fantastic experience: Very calm, clean (smoking is prohibited!) and wild natural outdoor pools. There are two restaurants nearby. La Fajana (low rating on Google) and La Gaviota. We had a great lunch there!!!
Fantastic experience: Great natural swimming pool. It seems that the pools have several depths, so children and non-swimmers can also enjoy themselves. On the other hand, you have the opportunity to watch the waves with the wonderful spray. Parking is plentiful and there is a place to grab a bite on-site. So it is worth it even for 'non-bathing mermaids'. The coast is also beautiful to look at.
Fantastic experience: Beautifully designed swimming pools with seawater. Small fish are also there. A feel-good oasis for children and adults. Upper level spots with sun protection. Restrooms and changing rooms. And 2 restaurants, one below and one at the end of the street. We went up and had a delicious meal. Service was super nice. The view.. Bombastic.
Fantastic experience: A somewhat complicated access, but the journey is worth it. There are plenty of parking spaces and additionally an area for motorhomes. Restrooms are available, the restaurant was understandably closed outside of the season. The natural swimming pools invite you to swim.

Fantastic experience: They are impressive natural pools. The northernmost point of the island. You can clearly appreciate the tremendous strength of the sea and the lack of common sense some have who do not respect the sea. We enjoyed a magnificent swim. Everything is very clean. There are different heights to sunbathe. There are restrooms and changing rooms. I missed a shower. And I would suggest they remove the algae from two steps to get out of the pool that were very slippery. Other than that, everything is impressive.
Fantastic experience: Natural pools in the northernmost part of the island. Impressive contrast between mountains and sea. Be careful with the state of the sea. Peace, harmony. All the effort of the journey is worth it to enjoy this unique environment and take a good bath. Relax, breathe, enjoy, ... There are areas for free parking.
