Information

Cala Estreta is a stunning secluded beach nestled among pine trees and known for its incredible underwater life, making it a popular spot for snorkeling and diving. The beach is accessible via a 20-30 minute hike from the paid parking area, which ensures a more tranquil experience, away from the larger crowds.

Highlights:

  • Beautiful natural scenery and clear waters.
  • Tranquil environment ideal for relaxation and nature lovers.
  • Diverse marine life, perfect for underwater activities.
  • Option for naturism, blending well with textile visitors.

Considerations:

  • Access involves a bit of a hike, which may not be suitable for everyone.
  • Limited space, which can become crowded during peak times.
  • No facilities available on-site, so visitors should bring food and water.
  • There are rocky areas, so caution is advised when swimming.

Overall, Cala Estreta offers a unique escape for those seeking beauty and tranquility, despite its accessibility challenges.

Positive experience: It's nice but getting there can be tricky. I got a flat tire. You have to be very careful. A lot of road and risk of flat tires. I went in October and it was very calm.

Fantastic experience: A little safe paradise between sky and sea! The path I took to get there was marked 'error Google Map' but I took it anyway. There are several access points, including the one from GR92 and the camí de Ronda passing by the beaches that I highly recommend <3 the beach for swimming is small but full of charm!

Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach. 30-minute walk from the parking but it's worth it. Mixed beach, textile and nudist. Be careful where to swim because of the rocks at the water's edge.

Fantastic experience: A quiet place ideal for snorkeling. It's a walking stretch that you can do around the coast (great views although it can be a bit pricey) or via a path from the paid parking.

Jesus Barros 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Espectacular.

Positive experience: Beautiful beach, although it is getting quite crowded with people taking pictures. A nice natural environment; if you're very lucky, you can get some shade. (It's rocky, so it's advisable to wear beach shoes or flip-flops that secure your foot.)

Fantastic experience: For me, the most beautiful and wild cove of the Costa Brava, naturist and with an unparalleled environment, crystal clear waters and a seabed for snorkeling, 30 minutes from Castell and 30 from Cap Roig, walking, it's right in the middle, which makes it less accessible.

Fantastic experience: One of the best beaches in Costa Brava. You cannot get there by car, it’s a 30 min walk from the closest parking. It’s a group of five calas, one of them is nudist. Some people camp here during the night. It’s a great spot for snorkeling, and very quiet. Totally recommended.

Repetiria seguro!

Fantastic experience: Perfect to reach by kayak from the nearby rental in 40 minutes. Getting to the beach there are some stones to check out and avoid. Sea shoes could be helpful but are not necessarily needed. The beach does not have any service so make sure you take all you need with you, especially water.

Fantastic experience: The paradise is not so far away. It happened that there weren't many people. We met Quico, who is part of it, and we shared some very interesting conversations. A cove to remember and return to. Better without little ones, given the distance.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful Place. I have to return in beach season. I discovered it while walking the Ronda path, which goes through the coves, and I fell in love with the place, its tranquility, and it was not touristy at all, or at least that was the impression it gave. I will return.

Positive experience: Optically strongly resembles a sweat stain produced by buttocks on a hot day. Supposedly nudist but tbh not much more nude than any other beach in Catalunya. Saw a couple eat pasta salad without utensils in a somewhat disgusting manner. Was disturbed but also intrigued enough to befriend them and they have since become part of the family. Takes about 30mins of moderate hiking to reach from the nearest beach, 50 from the nearest parking space so keep that in mind. 4/5 Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing, my favourite spot so far in Costa Brava. You have a few beaches with very few people. On this one, you can meet a nice guy named Quico who looks out for the beach. The guy is very open and can tell you a lot of stories. And you can play some guitar. Also, there are many wild cats there. The whole atmosphere was very hippie! I recommend to stay there for a night if you can.

Fantastic experience: This is the most beautiful beach I have ever been to in my life, the 30min hike there is amazing and takes you though amazing coastal forest , the hike is moderate but when you arrive at the clear water it will all be worth it.

Fantastic experience: This cala was such a surprise that in spite of me not feeling so well the day I visit it, I felt immediately happier !! It is w colony to many cats. They are just cruising around, playing by the water or sleeping in strange place as only cats can do! The casa is beautiful and divided into 2 beaches with some rocks on the water that you can walk on. If you don't like cats don't go! If you love them, like me, it's a must! Meow!
