Positive experience: Not sure how typical it is there, but during our 2 days in Cadiz, water in La Caleta was very turbid (likely due to heavy rain in Andalucia couple days before our arrival). Also loads of seaweed You find much better conditions on the south side of the walkway to the fortress. It has access to open Atlantic and water there is much clearer, but swimming conditions are harder due to higher waves. If you just want to play on the sand - it's a place for you, although we visited pre season and I can see it getting very crowded. Big parkings are available nearby, but be prepared for them to be full or if you get lucky, to dig deep into your pockets - 15€/day seems to be cheap in Cadiz
Fantastic experience: It's beautiful, I recommend going at sunset while walking along the path to the castle, it's very nice.
Fantastic experience: Very dirty beach, and very crowded, but it is still a must-visit beach. There is a paid parking lot right in front, with plenty of spaces.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful fine sandy beach, with great panoramic views and a view of the sunset. Plenty of parking options. However, it gets quite crowded during the peak season in summer.
Fantastic experience: The beach I have visited the most in Cadiz and the most accessible. It gets more crowded in the afternoon than in the morning. The sunset is very beautiful from there.

Negative experience: Hello, on January 1, 2025, at 12:00 PM, the beach was full of loose dogs running around, defecating and urinating everywhere. One dog jumped on me and took my food, and the owners insulted me because I said they should leash their dog and that dogs shouldn't be on the beach. The beach, from what I saw, was not hygienic at all due to the number of loose dogs; it looks more like a dog beach. The city council should do something for public health, as many diseases can be transmitted from dogs to people since dogs are not allowed on the beaches or at least warn that it is a dog beach.

Fantastic experience: Probably the most beautiful beach in Cádiz. Fine sand, wide beach, and crystal clear water. A special place to enjoy both in summer and winter.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful fine sandy beach, with great panoramic views and a view of the sunset. Plenty of parking options. However, it gets quite crowded during the peak season in summer.
Positive experience: I was swimming in its cool waters and fine sand. The tide rises and falls to the sound of the wind and in a few hours that only the locals know.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful and without stones...

Positive experience: La Caleta is a small and charming beach, located between two castles: San Sebastián and Santa Catalina. It is famous for its relaxed atmosphere and stunning views, especially at sunset. La Caleta is an ideal place to enjoy a beach day or simply take a stroll along the promenade. The beach bars in the area offer delicious sardine skewers and other local dishes. Its tranquil environment makes it a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the ocean.
Positive experience: La Caleta is perhaps the most characteristic and classic beach in Cádiz. La Caleta is located between the Santa Catalina and San Sebastián Castles, and it is the most popular beach in Cádiz. Nearby, there are restaurants, beach bars, flamenco venues, and even a decadent spa. It is a metropolitan beach, with a large influx of visitors. The golden, fine sand does not cover a large area. The most characteristic feature is the urban setting, which is very beautiful, highlighted by the architecture of the Nuestra Señora de la Palma and del Real spa and the defensive fortifications.
Fantastic experience: La Caleta is a truly beautiful beach on the coast of Cádiz. With its picturesque charm, crystal-clear waters, and stunning views, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the calm and serene atmosphere. Additionally, its location near charming seafood restaurants makes it a complete experience for beach lovers and good food enthusiasts. Definitely, La Caleta is a hidden gem worth discovering on the Andalusian coast.
Fantastic experience: It is a beautiful little beach at the tip of CADIZ. There is plenty of room to settle in, the place is very clean, and there is a restaurant if you get a little thirsty. It is a very nice and cozy beach.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach, especially to see the sunset. There are many boats parked in the water and it is surrounded by two castles; on one side you can see the Castle of Santa Catalina and on the other, the San Sebastián Castle. There are also several restaurants right there with little tables overlooking the beach. It is truly a must-see. I recommend it.

Positive experience: La Caleta is what I would describe as a "city beach" which for me personally doesn't really cut it. If you're looking for something with nicer sand, more space and better swimming I'd recommend the 15 minute walk to Playa Santa Maria del Mar or Playa Maria de la Victoria. Having said that there are a lot of positives. The location is great - close to bars and restaurants and with views of San Sebastian and Santa Catalina castles. It's also a good spot to catch a sunset. There's a beach club and beach chairs and snacks are available. The beach is shallow so it's safe for children and there is a lifeguard. However it's quite tidal and when the tide goes out it's not so pretty to look at and would make me think twice about actually swimming there - especially with all the small fishing boats moored there. The footing could be quite slippery and rocky.
Negative experience: No respetan distancia de seguridad. Ni se nos ocurrió pisarla

Fantastic experience: Very nice beach and warm water! Great place to watch the sunset!
Fantastic experience: They have completely revived the beach! I was here 4 years ago and it was completely dirty, poorly maintained, and the water was full of boat oil. I am surprised at how beautiful it is now! ❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: Playa pequeñita, preciosa y tranquila.

Positive experience: It's one of the best beaches in Cádiz, though the shore is filled with trash. It could use some more trash bins and some cleaning. Biodiversity is rich in la Caleta. If you venture between the rocks when the tide is low, you'll find all sorts of creatures ranging from flat worms to sponges and all sorts of fish... And that's something you don't get in a lot of places.

Fantastic experience: Cádiz, La Caleta is a beach located in the historical center of the city of Cádiz. It is a natural harbor by which Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans penetrated historically. main attraction is its location, a scene that has inspired musicians and poets like: Isaac Albéniz, José Maria Pemán, Paco Alba, and Carlos Cano. It has been pictured in several films, such as 007: Die Another Day, Alatriste, and Manolete.

Fantastic experience: Memories since I was a little girl flooding in. The best place to slightly close your eyes while looking at the sea ♥️
Fantastic experience: It's the first year I've been and from now on, it will be a must-stop every year. We had a blast with the kids searching for little crabs. This beach is a lot of fun.
Fantastic experience: Iconic place of my beloved silver little cup.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful
Negative experience: Not something that I found very spectacular. I recommend the beaches on the other side of Cadiz.
Fantastic experience: My favorite corner

Fantastic experience: A nice place to hang out at during a day trip to Cádiz even in late December! Kids run around with gusto, collecting seashells and pebbles.
Fantastic experience: It was warm and quiet. There were also cool shrimp in the tide pools.
Positive experience: Very interesting
Fantastic experience: The beach is like a beach. You can swim.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful. I will be back soon.
Fantastic experience: The city beach in Cádiz. A towel and swimsuit are enough. At the end of October 2024, it was still warm enough for a swim.
Fantastic experience: We really liked Cádiz, the people were super nice and the streets had a lot of good atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: It's beautiful, I recommend going at sunset while walking along the path to the castle, it's very nice.

Fantastic experience: A charming and beautiful beach in Cádiz, with low tide it's an ideal place for a stroll. At sunset we can enjoy its incredible sunset.
Fantastic experience: They have completely revived the beach! I was here 4 years ago and it was completely dirty, poorly maintained, and the water was full of boat oil. I am surprised at how beautiful it is now! ❤️❤️
Fantastic experience: The most beautiful place in the world❤️
Fantastic experience: Very dirty beach, and very crowded, but it is still a must-visit beach. There is a paid parking lot right in front, with plenty of spaces.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful family beach with a stunning view
Fantastic experience: Beautiful fine sandy beach, with great panoramic views and a view of the sunset. Plenty of parking options. However, it gets quite crowded during the peak season in summer.
Fantastic experience: I found the stay there very nice and can recommend everyone to visit this beach, especially at sunset!
Negative experience: The dirtiest beach I have ever been to. Cigarette butts, glass, murky water, floating things that shouldn't be there, I won't name them because I'll get banned. That led to a gastro issue and the end of my vacation. Not even if it's free.
Fantastic experience: On our journey through the lands of Cádiz, we couldn’t miss our visit once again to La Caleta beach in Cádiz. We had a great day.
Fantastic experience: The beach I have visited the most in Cadiz and the most accessible. It gets more crowded in the afternoon than in the morning. The sunset is very beautiful from there.
Positive experience: Probably living in South East Asia after growing up in Europe messed up the way I am rating a beach but this is definitely not a nice beach as all the reviews say. It is however a city beach that is easily reachable.
Positive experience: Wear comfortable clothes if you're going in the summer and stay well-hydrated because it is spacious and you have to walk a lot to explore its beautiful streets full of history and tourist spots.
Fantastic experience: The most beautiful beach I've ever seen
Fantastic experience: Interesting beach. At low tide, it's advisable to wear shoes to walk on the rocks.
Negative experience: There are many seaweeds.
Positive experience: I was swimming in its cool waters and fine sand. The tide rises and falls to the sound of the wind and in a few hours that only the locals know.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful sunset
Fantastic experience: The best beach in Cádiz capital, in just over 400 meters, has two castles, a spa and a great promenade leading to one of the castles (you can't ask for more in such a small area as is usual in Cádiz, which is very small but has so many things to see), and it also has some beautiful sunsets, in my opinion it is a marvel.
Negative experience: Disappointing service. I ordered coffee with cold milk, the first time the waiter brought me coffee with hot milk, then he brought me coca cola, and the third time again coffee with warm milk, all of this with no apology. In the end, I didn’t get what I ordered and I got it served with obvious expressions on the waiter’s face. I don’t recommend.
Fantastic experience: La Caleta, an emblematic place in the so-called Silver Cup, is located in the historic center of the city. It is a beautiful, quiet beach with stunning views. It is surrounded by two fortresses, one of which has a peculiar starfish shape. These buildings make La Caleta a unique place, where you can see very romantic sunsets; many people come to enjoy this spectacle. It is a must-visit if you go to Cádiz.
Negative experience: Mazot sea
Fantastic experience: Wonderful beach
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful and without stones...
Positive experience: Beautiful city beach on the edge of the old town of Cadiz
Fantastic experience: Beautiful
Positive experience: City beach close to numerous shops. The bottom slopes gently depending on the waves. Fountains for washing feet.
Fantastic experience: The ideal place to go with family
Negative experience: It's not a beach I like. It's small and the people who go ...
Negative experience: I didn't like it at all, there are many seaweeds, many stones, and the water is very murky. There are no showers either. The good thing is that there are restrooms and you can walk in the shade between the streets.
Fantastic experience: It had been a long time since I received such exceptional service, the quality of the food a 10, special attention to Medi, who treated us like royalty, all mistakes corrected by the house to ensure the experience remained wonderful.
Fantastic experience: Calm and family-friendly beach. Fantastic!
Fantastic experience: The best beach. The day we went the weather was great.
Positive experience: Dragut
Positive experience: Beautiful beach... and the sunset unbeatable
Fantastic experience: I think it's the most beautiful beach in the whole area. With free and always very clean restrooms. There is a lack of shaded areas, but the beach is completely free and you can set up everything you need. The water is freezing cold, but really pleasant, and the cove allows you to swim without any waves.
Positive experience: The beach here is not really nice! It's best to drive a bit out of the city - there you will find wide and great sandy beaches.
Negative experience: The beach is very dirty with sargassum and there is also a lot of trash.
Positive experience: It's not bad, but I like the Victory Beach much more.
Fantastic experience: Beach with beautiful sunsets.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful! Cádiz is beautiful and the food... oh, the food!!!
Positive experience: Historical center of Cadiz, beautiful tour, we shared a beauty of the chapels and the gorgeous Cathedral, impressive views of the sea, excellent gastronomy.
Fantastic experience: A super cool beach, small but with a very good atmosphere, the sunsets are amazing, great for going with family, friends, and in April I went with my little dogs, without any problems!
Fantastic experience: If you travel to Cádiz and you haven't swum at La Caleta, you haven't been to Cádiz. I always enjoyed this family beach with my grandparents and their friends, and I had a great time since I was little. Very good atmosphere, a kiosk up to buy drinks or ice creams, it gets quite packed in the summer, but there's always a spot.
Positive experience: The beach has good space, but lately when I have been there, it has a lot of seaweed and it becomes an unpleasant place.
Positive experience: La Caleta is perhaps the most characteristic and classic beach in Cádiz. La Caleta is located between the Santa Catalina and San Sebastián Castles, and it is the most popular beach in Cádiz. Positive experience: No structure to enjoy the beach
Fantastic experience: The place is very charming and is ideal for watching the sunset.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach area partly with catering. However, there are some rocks, be careful when entering the water.
Fantastic experience: A wonderful beach to see the tide with the fishermen's boats stranded, and to watch the sunset over the ocean. Recommended!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach
Fantastic experience: The most beautiful part of Cadiz
Positive experience: Mñuna is a beautiful beach but with a lot of seaweed.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful and charming beach! Unforgettable sunsets♥️
Fantastic experience: If you want to see the sunset in Cádiz (or anywhere), find a spot that faces roughly to the west. Here we have it, among others, on La Caleta beach, where oranges, reds, and yellows will color the skies every evening, to the delight of bathers and strollers whose leisure has taken them there. It is not the only place to admire the setting sun, nor the largest beach, but it is the brightest spot, which decorates its beautiful pavilion.
Fantastic experience: I am from the paradise of Cádiz since I was born...♉️☠️☠️...
Fantastic experience: It is the most beautiful beach that exists in this world; if you go to Cádiz, you must not miss going to La Caleta.
Fantastic experience: The best sunsets in the world
Fantastic experience: One of the most beautiful places in Cádiz
Fantastic experience: Iconic beach in Cádiz. There is a great beach bar to have something to drink while enjoying the breeze and the sea. A very nice place to spend some time.
Fantastic experience: The place with the most tradition and history of the entire city of Cádiz.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful sandy beach with many shells.
Fantastic experience: A magical and spectacular place
Fantastic experience: Charming beach with a lot of magic in Cadiz
Fantastic experience: Because I can't give more stars, for me it is paradise on earth.
Fantastic experience: Incredible day in Cádiz and terms watching the sunset at La Caleta beautiful
